What is CBD?
CBD (cannabidiol) is a natural component derived from the Cannabis plant and is one of over a hundred ‘cannabinoids’ that are present. CBD is non-psychoactive and not to be confused with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which causes a ‘high’, CBD does not do this. CBD is highly abundant in the Hemp plant, whereas THC is more prevalent in Marijuana. Hemp derived CBD is legal within the UK, providing the THC content is less than 0.2%.
Is CBD Legal?
Yes, as stated above our products must contain less than 0.2% THC, which is a very low and safe level to consume. All our products come with a laboratory report to detail the cannabinoids present, amount and integrity and purity of our products.
Is it safe
CBD is classified as a natural food supplement; therefore, we cannot make any medical claims, assumptions or advice. Current studies show that CBD is safe to use and further research is on-going into the field. We strongly advise you seek the advice of your GP and/or pharmacist if you are on medication.
How do I take CBD?
The most effective way to take Tessellate CBD oil is sublingually (under the tongue) as it has the best absorption rate. Our 5% oil will provide 2.5mg of CBD per drop and our 10% oil 5mg per drop, therefore we
recommend you starting on 1-2 drops twice a day. Once you begin activating your cannabinoid receptors and feeding your endocannabinoid system, you can increase or decrease amount as you need. A great method we suggest to our customers is to use a mirror to visualise how many drops applied under the tongue, then leave the oil sit and absorb without swallowing. Try not to drink anything 15-30 minutes after taking.
Will CBD show up on a drugs test?
A common drug test typically tests for THC levels, and as our products are naturally very low in THC most of our customers have not experienced any problems. However, we cannot guarantee this as we cannot be sure of what the test is looking for. We recommend disclosure to your employers that you are taking CBD before completing the test.
Will it show on routine blood screening at GP
That depends on what the screening is for. Usually when you have a blood test they specify what it has to be tested for so unless they specifically test for thc it’s highly unlikely but if concerned mention it to your GP.
How long will a bottle last?
Tessellate CBD oil contains an average of 200 drops per bottle, and therefore this will be dependent on how much CBD you are consuming. A bottle should last approximately 6 weeks based on consumption of 2 drops twice daily.
How Pure are our Products?
Tessellate CBD oil is highly refined of impurities and undergoes a rigorous purification process. All unwanted plant matters are removed while maintaining the active cannabinoids and terpenes resulting in a high-quality product. We use hemp seed oil as our carrier oil which is organic, vegan and rich in nutrients and essential fatty acids.
Why our CBD oil is ‘Full Spectrum’ and what that means?
Full Spectrum means that all cannabinoids and terpenes that are naturally present in the plant are present, alongside CBD. CBD is the most prevalent of cannabinoids, however research shows that its affect is strengthened when consumed in combination with the other cannabinoids present. This is referred to as the ‘entourage effect’. Tessellate CBD oils are all full spectrum, and our laboratory reports will show amount of each cannabinoids present and percentage, so you can be certain you are choosing the highest quality of products.
